"Implementing what I learned here was scary because the stakes are higher where I live.
At first, I felt that I was being encouraged to destroy my family despite Asma's warnings that things are going to get worse if I didn't do anything. I thought talking to him again would help but it didn't. He got way worse as she predicted. I came back determined to rip it apart and followed the rules.

The first time I said: "Warda doesn’t live that kind of life, he can ask someone else to do it" shocked my own mother who was terrified of divorce.
I wasn't able to get him to do chores - as predicted - so I have the entirety of my paycheck to save and he pays all the bills, drives me and the kids everywhere and takes me on dates which he pays for. I am fine with this arrangement"
